THE WHY BEHIND THE MISSION
Dominate Your Finances was established with a singular mission: to help those that are ready to take charge of their finances and live the lives they imagine. According to an article in Forbes, 78% of workers live paycheck to paycheck and a recent gallop poll revealed that 87% of Americans are working at jobs they hate. And they choose to stay in positions that make them unhappy because they are totally dependent on the salaries provided by those jobs for day to day survival.
With a radical mindset shift and the proper application of discipline, DYF believes that every individual, regardless of their financial situation, can develop financial strategies that can turn things around. It will take focus, commitment and the courage to make a change.
The founder, financial consultant and Retired Army Master Sergeant Cynthia G. Edwards, knows better than most what it feels like to be trapped by bad financial decisions. She experienced first-hand the stress and frustration that came from living paycheck to paycheck, unable to escape a never-ending debt cycle of robbing Peter to pay Paul while dreaming of building a solid financial future. It wasn’t until she made the connection between her limiting financial beliefs and the power of her subconscious mind that she was able to free herself from financial purgatory and start living the life she imagined.
Achieving a financial peace of mind for herself was only the first part of her plan. Now that she has achieved many of her financial goals, she is on a mission to share her experiences and expertise with anyone that find themselves in the same precarious financial position.
Her core philosophy is to encourage others to stop approaching their finances from a place of fear or intimidation. She believes that in order to succeed, you must approach your finances from a position of power. Through her tailored approach, Cynthia is helping individuals across the nation to eliminate their debt, increase their knowledge about finances, and achieve their financial goals.
Financial freedom does not just have to be a dream - it can become a way of living in less time than you think.
Cynthia invests in various community initiatives. She has a BA in Finance and an MBA in Management. She's also a Licensed Insurance Broker and a member of the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA).
